Who we are

Valkoinen Risti (Finnish language for White Cross) is a Finnish family held company in fourth generation, founded in 1925 and continuously selling consumer goods in the Finnish market ever since.

Valkoinen Risti, call us Valkri for simplicity, is based in Helsinki, but we operate nationwide both in retail and food service. We also export our own Finnish legacy brands.

Our staff are experienced professionals and can often say “been there, done that”.

Our Finnish culture and mentality might confuse foreigners, in our reluctance to laud ourselves or the achievements we have made over the decades.
At Valkri we strive not to overpromise or take on challenges, where we see a wild goose chase. This approach also saves our partners’ money.

Over the years we have built many brands, from scratch, in the Finnish market.

What we offer

We (mostly) know what to do and how to do it, but also what not to do. Our recipe for success is to start from the beginning, building good and long-lasting partnerships, be it retail, food service or both.

We have experience in being agent, importer, distributor or service provider, optimizing business models for each individual case.

Key customer & product manager services

When cooperation is started, the first step is getting to know the products and evaluating their potential at the local major wholesalers. Communication is the key.

We request product information, pricing ideas and experiences, brand support policies, logistics setup, best practices etc. Once the overall picture has been formed, work will start to make the products available to consumers or B2B buyers. Perhaps we even recommend that the time is not right for the Finnish market.

 

Field sales services

Our sales representatives are experienced professionals in the field, having in their careers formed good relationship with buying partners.

They are used to pressure expectations and they can act in difficult situations, even relishing in problem solving.

 

Back office and social media

As a comprehensive partner, we try our best take full care of business trusted to us.

Valkri knows the local data bases, ICT-solutions, legal requirements, logistics and good trade practices. We have our own social media webmaster and contacts to a diverse portfolio of specialized service providers, offering reliable supply for most demands.
